Samantha Herle is a multidisciplinary artist and XR designer who is currently living in Montreal, Quebec and was born in Vancouver, British Columbia. She holds a BFA in Illustration from Emily Carr University, and has completed the 12-month Virtual & Augmented Reality Specialist program at Champlain College.

Alongside her own work, over the past few years she has been commissioned to create multiple digital art exhibitions for organizations and artists (see Digital Projects page), with works presented both online and as interactive projections at various galleries and venues. With experience in game engines such as Unity and Unreal Engine, she has led and contributed to projects that fuse a variety of different mediums.

She is also a multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter. She has taken part in multiple musical projects, both solo and group. Most recently, her former band Grimm self-released an album in 2023 titled “Your Head is a House”, and shared the stage with acts such as Peach Pit and Grammy Award winning musician Kimbra.
